Dream Flight – Montreal Departure November 6th, 2019
Air Canada Hangar
INVITATION TO ALL MEDIA
Dreams Take Flight is pleased to invite you
to the magical departure of the 25th Annual “Dream Flight”
Wednesday November 6th 04:00 (media call) at the Air Canada Hangar,
End of Côte Vertu West, Ville St-Laurent (Québec)
Come and join us as we get ready to take approximately 200 physically, mentally and socially challenged children (between the ages of 6 and 12 years old) on a truly thrilling and enchanting flight! We invite you to witness the tremendous excitement of the preparations surrounding the soon to come departure of this magical journey to Walt Disney World, Florida. Saturday, October 26, parents with their children will come to the Air Canada’s hangar to get ready for the flight. Children will be measured for clothes, shoes, photos and fingerprints will be taken, and lots of things to do for fun, all just before the actual flight to Disney World. The flight is scheduled to leave on November 6, 2019 at 6:00 a.m. and will return around midnight – on the same day. For many of our young passengers, it will change their life forever!
Created in 1989, “Dreams Take Flight” is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers from the Air Canada family (Canada and United States), this includes pilots, flight attendants, mechanics and management. For the 25th consecutive year, Montreal employees have organized this dream trip for the children, sending them to the magical destination of Walt Disney World, for one incredible day. Every detail is thought out, from clothing, to food, to all the rides, the entertainment – everything is done to ensure an amazing adventure!
Air Canada, our biggest sponsor, donates the aircraft for the event and the volunteers/employees do the rest. The adventure is funded through various fundraising events, corporate sponsors and donations.
We’d love to have you with us, so you can share this annual real life fairy-tale with your listeners, viewers and readers. In a world often filled with so many problems, this is a delightful and charming story, that will warm the hearts of all who see the faces of these special children – as they head up those steps onto the plane – for a trip of a lifetime!
